Summer Workshops
Mid-Late January

For absolute beginners to advanced dancers. Two weeks of workshops with expert teachers from across Canberra. The Summer Workshops finish up with a Hafla & Markets.

Multicultural Festival
February

There are always bellydancers performing at the National Multicultural Festival in February each year. Check the official website and follow our Facebook Page for details closer to the date!

National Folk Festival
March-April

Many local performers appear regularly at the National Folk Festival over Easter - it's '5 Days in a Perfect World'. Make sure you get down there and support our local dancers!

BellyUp Bellydance Haflas
Twice Annually

Bellyup Bellydance hold Haflas twice a year. A Hafla is a party with food, music and of course dancing! It's a great opportunity for students to gain performance experience. Dancers from all belly dance schools are welcome.

Shimmy Mob
2nd Saturday in May

Join the Canberra Shimmy Mob Team, learn a great dance and perform together, raising funds for local organisations who help women and children in crisis. You can register on the official Shimmy Mob website to sign up for the 2019 Team!

Canberra Casbah
June 2018

Fundraising Festival of Bellydance Workshops, Markets and a Performance Hafla, all raising funds for Shimmy Mob and The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever charities. Check the website, and the Casbah Facebook Page.

Floriade
September-October
